Operations / Ongoing project

Developing a practical filing and operating system within Robotics Laboratory to build experience in business operations and information systems.
Scattered paper records, unclear financial records, and inconsistent workflows make information harder to find and work harder to resume.
Connect a physical filing system with digital folders, an expense tracker, and a short operating checklist. The working process is to receive a record, capture it, identify any action, record the relevant information, file it, and review it.
The tools and filing plan are prepared. Paper sorting, entry of actual financial records, and testing of the workflow remain to be completed.
Label the main folders and process one small batch of papers. Test whether each record has a clear destination and whether unfinished work has a written next action.
Baseline measurements and improvement results have not yet been recorded.
Begin with a clear intended result: find important records, understand business finances, and resume work with a written next action. Use retrieval tests and receipt completeness to evaluate progress.
Review whether the work supports a sustainable workload, learning, respectful communication, and meaningful contribution. These are working principles to test as the project develops.
Adapted in application from Stephen R. Covey’s Habit 2 and Whole-Person Paradigm.
